Mind the Gap: Should You Take a Break After Leaving Service or Between Jobs?

As MOAA's Program Director, Career Transition Services and Family Programs, Cmdr. Erin Cardinal, USN (Ret), ACC, CPC, is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering career transition facilitations at military installations nationwide. She assists the senior director in all functions pertaining to the formulation, coordination, supervision, and conduct of MOAA's program to support members in making a successful transition from military service to civilian employment.
She also provides one-on-one coaching and mentoring for MOAA members and member spouses, and participates in and supports events and activities designed to assist military spouses seeking career management advice and guidance. She represents MOAA at local and national events hosted by MOAA partners and military installation transition offices, and provides content for MOAA’s print/electronic publications and multimedia channels.
In addition to her transition-focused efforts, Erin is the content and programming lead for MOAA's TotalForce+ conference, which aims to inspire action and drive meaningful solutions for our military and veteran community.
