Who We Serve
MOAA Charities serves the uniformed services community, including active duty, National Guard, and Reserve servicemembers, veterans, retirees, and their families and survivors. Its support addresses needs across ranks, branches of service, and stages of life.
Its philanthropic roots reach back to the MOAA Scholarship Fund, established in 1948, and The MOAA Foundation, established in 2014. The two organizations merged on March 1, 2026, to form MOAA Charities, building on decades of support for those who serve.
Through five programs—Crisis Relief, Education Assistance, Community Outreach, Professional Development, and Financial & Benefits Education—MOAA Charities provides immediate assistance and long-term opportunity. These programs help ease financial hardship, support education and career growth, strengthen local communities, and equip individuals and families to make informed financial and benefits decisions.
