Jafi Roskey

Jafi served in the Air Force for nine years. She spent eight years as an aircrew flight equipment craftsman and one year on special duty as an Air Force protocol officer. She has deployed four times with the F-16, C-130 and RC-135 aircrafts. She was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for actions with a malfunctioning part in the F-16 Falcon’s ejection seat without delay to mission or cost of life.

 

After enlistment in the Air Force, she hired on at Werner Enterprises. She started her career in the operations department as a fleet manager and acquired professional drivers to manage daily. Shortly after starting at Werner, she was promoted to operations supervisor. In that role, she managed 14 fleet managers and over 750 drivers in their day-to-day operations. In November 2015, she moved to the recruiting department to focus on veteran initiatives to include the Freedom Fleet, veteran associates, all military events and programs.

 

As senior manager of military programs, she acquired the Driver Ambassador Program to help promote Werner as the premier transportation carrier of choice for recently graduated drivers and transitioning servicemembers. In addition, she manages an industry-first apprenticeship program for truck drivers, diesel mechanics and transportation managers. She recently joined Task Force Movement as a board member.

 

Jafi has married to an Air Force veteran, Ryan, for 17 years and has two boys. She received her bachelor’s degree cum laude from Bellevue University in 2014 in adult education.
